My 2 year old son received this from his Grandparent's recently...Just in time for Halloween! My husband and I were even excited about it, as it was a "different" kind of book, with the scratch & sniff smells inside. The story isn't too exciting, but the illustrations are nice. The smells range from "Wow, those really smell like apples!", to "OMG, did they really have to make the Skunk smell sooo bad?" :-/ When my Mother-in-Law caught a nose full of the Skunk smell on the last page, she even commented that she might have not purchased it if she had flipped through all the pages in the store and come across it then! All in all, we will add it to our Son's Halloween books...Even if we do have to skip the last stinky page!

This short book contains 5 stories and also some jokes at the end. The author says that they are for children 6 - 12 and grades K -6.

I found all of them to be spooky but not as much as to scare the little ones in your family. My two favorites: "315 Brock Street" and "William's Halloween Night". The last one is about a Werewolf who learned his lesson while scaring some children one Halloween. "Trick or Treating Makes Me Sick" is another one that your children should read if they have a tendency to eat too much of their candy!

All in all, a nice collection to entertain your children prior to Halloween.
